RUNGETTERS

Team Background

Rungetters was first established in 2005 to compete in the Bryan Davis Cricket Festival. The Club was eventually registered as a non-profit organisation in 2015. The name of the club was bore out of the desire to score and chase down runs in tournaments. They won the Bryan Davis tournament 4 times out of 5 over the years. Also, Rungetters master’s team who is captain by Mr. Deonarine Deyal travels regionally and the world at larger to play and compete. The Rungetters T10 team was the brainchild created for the sole purpose of giving emerging and younger players an opportunity to compete and express themselves on a big stage. As such the team is balanced with skill, experience and youth to provide that necessary continuity of the sport of cricket. The journey to date was quite rewarding and eventful, special recognition is given to our franchise owners, Mr. Shaun Teekasingh, Dayanand Nigel Patrick, who enabled us to have the opportunity to be a part of this Dream 11 T10 tournament.

The main objective is to play for Trinidad and Tobago and West Indies cricket teams, thus allowing our players to represent their nation. Other secondary objectives, encompass, the desire to compete and succeed against the best, to win the T10 tournament, to help in the development of cricket and provide a forum for players to express themselves and to eventually own a franchise team in the CPL. Their motto is “together we create great players,” thus we will like to continue developing young players and give them an opportunity to show case their talent and represent West Indies or big franchises.  Also, the team does not differentiate their players and rank them as they believe all of their team members are top players and they will continue to support each equally. In the fourth edition they were able to reselect players from their previous teams in the past editions, such as Vikash Mohan, Nicholas Sookdeosingh, Joshua James, Uthman Mohammed and Kenroy Williams and all in all they hope each of their players in the fourth edition will exceed their expectations.
